Plaid Skirt Two Ways

Summer plaids can be down right flirty and fun if worn with the right pieces.  The idea is to keep it fuss free and a little unconventional.  Pair your plaids with bright colors, bold accessories and ditch your traditional sandals for flat espadrilles or sneaks. I paired the adorable handkerchief hem skirt from Yesstyle.com with two different blazers.  One is a more nautical look and the other a trendier version.  Both looks can be worn for day or night and easily taken apart and worn many ways. Tip:  avoid tight fits – plaids are meant to be casual and easy to wear even if it’s a dress or skirt.

Handkerchief Hem Plaid Skirt – $88  | Two Tone Camisole – $40 | Smart Blazer – $90 | Leather Platforms  – $100 | Tote – $165

Handkerchief Hem Plaid Skirt – $88 | Cropped Blazer – $100 | Tee – $18 | Statement Necklace – $48 | Sam Edelman Allie Heels – $104 | Clutch – $155

Target Style Shoppable Video

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: It’s impossible to buy only one thing at Target!  I know I’m not the only one who walks into a Target to buy something only to walk out with a dozen other items!   So while watching Target’s shoppable spring time video (see below) it was no surprise that I already owned at least four different pieces from their new spring line.  It’s hard to really pick a favorite because all the pieces are beautiful but what really popped out in this video where the prints.

Everything, including the mens wear, had a retro feel that made it all the more special and expensive looking!  All of the hottest items now available at Target’s new spring line are included in the video not to mention available to purchase without even pausing the video.  There’s been a ton of times where I see a commercial or video and see something that I like and have to search high and low to find out where to purchase it and this video not only provides you the info and links but it allows you to shop by trends and outfits – love that!  Check out the video and some of my favorite pieces below and what to wear them with.

The colors on this Merona floral jacket make it super easy to wear with bold bright colored skinny jeans, tops and accessories.   Tip:  Try this floral blazer with a oxford and pencil skirt for a office friendly spring look.

Oxford Floral Blazer – $34.99 | Prabal Gurung For Target Tank – $19.99 | Mossimo Colored Skinny Jeans – $27.99 | Chiffon Yellow Crossbody – $26.99 | Mossimo Pemella Demi Wedge – $32.99

I just bought this polka dot shirt (which is so soft and fits amazingly) just the other day and I think it’s going to make its way into a lot of my outfits.  I paired it here with a striped pull over and a tweed skirt for an even bolder pop of color that can be taken apart and worn a ton of different ways.  Tip: Try some opaque tights and pumps for days that are still a bit too chilly for bare legs.

Merona Striped Raglan Pullover – $24.99 | Merona Favorite Lawn Shirt – $22.99 | Mossimo Tweed Skirt – $22.99 | Mossimo Vinta Ankle Strap Heels – $29.99 |  Chiffon Yellow Crossbody – $26.99

This floral mossimo blouse is easily one of the prettiest floral prints I have ever seen on a blouse.  It’s got the perfect blend of color mixed in with neutral tones.  It screams spring and can be worn with everything from shorts, jeans or layered underneath your work pieces.  For this look I paired it with bright lace shorts and flats – an effortless look you can wear to a spring or summer picnic. Tip: Unbutton this top and tie it over a strapless dress for a sexy look.

Merona Floral Shirt – $22.99 | Mossimo Lace Shorts – $15 | Prabal Gurung for Target Pointy Toe Flats – $29.99 | Chiffon Yellow Crossbody – $26.99

It’s Time for Springtime.  Target’s got the floral’s, stripes and polka dots for all your colorful spring outfits at affordable prices!
