Celebrity Copycat: Olivia Palermo’s Look for Less!

Words cannot even express how much I love Olivia Palermo’s style!  It’s always so hard for me to even pick one outfit to replicate. For this Copycat I chose her in over knee boots and a fab coat!  Two must have items in any fashionitas closet.  Both pieces can be found for less but if you choose to splurge go right ahead because neither of these items are overlty trendy and they will never go out of style just like most of Olivias outfits classic, sexy and stylish.

5 Must Have Coats Under $100

When I lived up north I chose coats the  way I chose outfits.  I’m one of those people that will look all decked out in a fab coat, accessories and be wearing black leggings and a sweatshirt underneath (and guess what…I’m proud of it!).  I still do the same only with lightweight coats during cooler temps.  Below are some coats that’s I’m currently drooling over and make me wish I was back up north again.

Faux Fur Trimmed Coat – $60 at Forever21.com
White Shawl Coat – $69.99 at Target.com
Yukon Quilted Coat – $98 at Francescas.com
Faux Fur  – $69.95 at HM.com
Toggle Coat – $99.90 at uniqlo.com

Winter Fashion: Keep Warm and Look Cool

While most people dread the cold winter months, it’s one of my favorite seasons to accessorize. Scarves, gloves, hats, jackets, boots and cardigans are comfy, functional and add a new dimension to everyday outfits. I like to play around with what I have in my closet and the new trends this year are so inspiring.

Definitely Add Color!

This year’s most striking color for me is saffron. It seems to be everywhere. And celebrities like Taylor Swift wear it beautifully! Her saffron cardigan combines beautifully with blue jeans and red pullover and the warm color worn in winter lets a chilly mood turn to happiness.
No matter which color you prefer, make sure let them shine in your winter outfits this season. Besides saffron, strong hues of green and red are popular this year. If you can’t find the perfectly matching color in a local shop, the internet has tons of options (I’m a big fan of Paypal particularly when I am purchasing items overseas) If you click here you will learn how to use such an account – even via your mobile phone.

Warm Stylish Shoes

The cooler weather requires leaving sandals behind but cozy boots will make up for that. Thanks to the fashionable tight cut of trousers, and the woolen knee-long skirts, these bear paw boots are perfect and handy at the same time. In that way, one maintains a high level of flexibility when it comes to fashion and shoe combinations. Plus, it is easy to slip into these boots at any time, without the necessity of lacing them.

In a post-genocide environment Willa Shalit spearheaded the Path to Peace project which developed an American market for Rwandan women’s crafts. The collection creates trade partnerships with artisans in recovering regions to bring the power of change to Africa and Indonesia.

In less than two years the project has achieved unparalleled success in bringing economic security to the women of Rwanda. Their are several items including bracelets ( O Bracelet and Sister bracelet), necklacesbaskets (which are the number one export out of Rwanda under the African Growth an Opportunity Act) and bowls.

Isaac’s spring 2010 collection at the New York Fashion Week was exciting- lots of ruffles and petals, short little numbers and those hats! As only Isaac would do it! The little square clutches, and box purses definitely made the show reminiscent of the early –mid 1900’s (think 40’s -60’s), the occasional umbrella gave me the feeling that we were heading for a picnic in the rain! Bold lips and the Blazers were a common theme and are bound to be the in trend this fashion year. Catch the show here.

Key notes of the fashion show: Menswear inspired shoes, Bold Lips, Lavender, the occasional fringe, and just a little sparkle

I’m eagerly anticipating the release of his Ready to Wear Collection. Check out my ever growing Isaac Mizrahi wish list on Wishpot.
