Miranda Kerr keeps her crop top casual with baggy boyfriend jeans and Birkenstocks. I included the exact same Birkenstocks below which usually run for about $120. You can easily get a similar slide for way less but I personally think that if you’re going to jump on the Birkenstock band wagon it might as well be with the real deal. They’re so so comfy and they last forever!

Last week I had the pleasure of trying out yummy smelling Caress® Emerald Rush™ Fresh Collection Body Wash and I featured some spring looks inspired by the luscious emerald green color which, last year, was Pantone color of the year. I thought, “what could be better than pairing it with this years equally gorgeous color of the year radiant orchid!” Both colors exude a fun, sunny feel that’s perfect for spring and summer. Since I featured the emerald green in the form of clothing in my last post I decided to focus on coordinating accessories that compliment the color.
Injecting radiant orchid into your every day looks is easily done by adding accessories like a bag clutch, big colorful earrings, a mani or a light weight scarf. FYI: If you decide to rock an emerald top, add some accessories in radiant orchid to your wrist or hands. If you’re wearing emerald bottoms, inject orchid upwards towards your face. The idea is to let the colors shine individually – that way you don’t take away from the outfit by overwhelming it with too much color. Neutral classic colors like white, beige and gray are perfect as a blank canvas for the emerald green and lilac.
Check out the colors in action below.
In my second look (my favorite) I decided to go with a day to night look using different shades of green. Because the shorts are sexy I toned it down for daytime by adding a denim vest and added a big bold orchid necklace to draw the attention upwards. For night you can simply take off the vest and add some gold sandals.
If you’re looking to add the colors in small doses you can easily get a mani and/or pedi in radiant orchid and add the emerald in the form of a ring or bracelet. Or you can get a mani pedi that combines both colors – it will look amazing with a tan!
Both colors will help you create heading turning looks that will go beautifully with your soft scented skin that the Emerald Rush™ gave you.
The Caress® Fresh collection wraps your skin in vibrant scents and hydrating lather, leaving it revitalized and delicately scented. Try the new Caress® Fresh Collection and revitalize your skin like never before.
The summer craziness continues! I manage to sneak off to the beach. It wasn’t for long but at least I got a little color.
Went shoe shopping at Famous Foootwear and found these super cute stripe espadrille’s.
Swung by parents to celebrate my dads birthday which kicks off a very busy birthday season. There’s at least three birthdays every month all the way till February. Fun stuff! 🙂
It’s been one of the rainiest summers ever. I love it but making plans outdoors is almost impossible. I saw this double rainbow after a really bad storm slammed us. Wish I could have got a better shot but it’s still beautiful.
Robert got to sneak off to the movies with my parents. He loves the one on one time. 🙂
Simple avocado and corn salad is a definite summer favorite. So yummy and easy we just chopped up 1 whole red onion, 1 whole avocado, 1 can of white sweet corn and 5 cherry tomatoes. For the dressing we used 1 tablespoon of vinegar, salt to taste, pepper to taste, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and a a splash of lemon juice.
I love me a good perk! Got this perk from eclos and I can’t wait to try them out.
I love my new curling iron by Hot Tools! It’s a 3/4 inch ceramic barrel that managed to curl all my thick hair in about 15 minutes. Bonus: it smoothes out the frizzy!
I find dressing for florida summers a bit of a challenge sometimes. It’s too hot for jeans and layering but wearing shorts and summer dresses all the time can get a bit monotonous. Sometimes I just take the pain, crank the ac and put together an outfit that’s more me. 🙂 Yesterday I wore a chambray button down from Walmart (seen here), yellow Old Navy tank (seen here) and a animal print mini skirt. The whole outfit was under $30 and super comfy (as long as the ac was on high lol).
Kourtney is one stylish mama! This outfit is sexy, stylish and more importantly super comfy! Great to run errands, pack for a trip or even wear to the playground. Tip: not comfortable with the crop top? No problem – any striped top will do.
I never really paid much attention to Heidi Klum’s style; it always seemed either a bit boring or a bit over the top. That’s not the case with this outfit! I like the combo of the distressed shorts classed up a bit with a pretty blouse and finished off with casual sandals. Great outfit to take on vacation and just about anyone can wear it.
Nicole Richie gives her denim cut off shorts a chic look with black booties and sleeveless top. Love her style it’s never overly done and her outfit are all about the details. What makes this look is her edgy black booties and studded belt paired with a classic sleeveless top – effortless!
Naomi Watts’ tomboy look is pretty similar to a lot of my day to day casual wear. I love how she combined the colors and added a cute pair white sneaks when she could have easily worn flip flops. However I do think the shorts are a bit on the long side for a long sleeve tee – it would have worked if the shorts were shorter or the tee had shorter sleeves.
