The kids have now been on summer break for two whole weeks and keeping me busy but I love it! It’s amazing having kids in such different age ranges, you literally get to have a little fun doing a little bit of everything. Just today I took my oldest to buy his girlfriend flowers, then I took Robert to Target to buy Pokemon cards and while I was there bought Joseph some teething rings. It’s crazy but in the best possible way.
I’ve been looking for a flokati rug for a long time. It’s not that I couldn’t find one; I just couldn’t justify spending more than $20 or $30 for it. While at Walmart I found a decent sized rug for only $19.99!
One of my favorite saying’s is, “it is what it is,” so when I saw this mug at T.J. Maxx for only $2.99 I had to have it!
Finding a pack of 5 sleeveless onesies for only $7.99 at Marshalls – score! Not for me but a bargain always makes happy! Sleeveless are almost impossible to find at stores. Look at those chunky arms!
I love pesto but I’m tired of just tossing it with pasta. This time I added cheese ravioli (it was supposed to be tortellini but they were out), asparagus and sauteed spinach – yummy!
Last week I bought this green dress from Target – it was on clearance for only $16 and I loved it so much I went back and got it in deep rose and then ordered it in black. You can find the dresses
Maxi dresses are a vital part of any woman’s stylish wardrobe, especially during the summer. The options are endless, but I have a weakness for a flowing white evening maxi dress (it has this boho goddess feel that just works!). Check out my favorite celeb looks and the dress for less.
I couldn’t just pick one celeb favorite but I did find one dress that was just gorgeous! The elaborate details on the evening dress make it look worth WAY more that just $120. What I particularly like about the dress is the detachable train that looks like something a modern day Stevie Nicks would wear on a red carpet.

There you have it two inspirations and one beautiful boho maxi dress now all you need is a pair of funky platforms, a clutch and you’re good to go!
Pastels are perfect to celebrate beautiful spring weather, but nothing beats a pretty shade of orange to go with a golden tan for the summer. Unlike pastels, orange compliment’s just about anyone’s complexion and can easily be used as a neutral color when building an outfit. Check out some of my favorite pieces below.
Pregnant or not Reese Witherspoon always looks classic and chic!! Love this look: It combines both function and style and is a outfit for running errands! Get Reese’s look for less woth pieces from Nordstrom, Payless & more!!
Selena Gomez looks so pretty in this season’s “it” color, minty green (and the dress is perfectly matched with nude pumps). I love how she balances her style with her age – it’s always youthful yet tasteful making this an outfit that can be worn by any woman regardless of age! Tip: Nude pumps are a must-have so invest in a good pair they’ll never go out of style. Get Selena’s look for less with pieces from Macy’s, Dillard’s & more!
There’s nothing better than a dress in a pretty shade of yellow to make your summer days even brighter. These five are the “thrown-on-the-go” kind that every woman needs in their closet. Tip: Choose classic shapes like a shift dress, wrap, maxi or a simple tank dress…they’re the most flattering and withstand any trend ( I don’t know about you but I like to pull out my summer dresses every year and get the most out of them). Pair them with cobalt heels for an extra punch of color; flip flops for a effortless feel; or classic wedges.
I’m not quite ready to expose my arms, but I want to bust out my cute warm-weather dresses. What should I do?
A cropped sweater or shrug can be a perfect — and slimming — accompaniment to your summer look, suggests celebrity stylists Monica and Barbara Abbatemaggio. “Even donning a pretty shawl can help trim the appearance of your arms,” adds Monica. And while you might be resistant to wearing a traditional cardigan, a light cotton cardigan in beautiful summer hues will not only add structure to your free-flowing dress, but also keep you warm on cooler summer evenings too. But whether you choose a sweater, shrug or cardigan, remember that proportion is key. “It should conform to your body to help define your curves and be figure-flattering,” says Barbara. After all, a well-matched garment can give a summer dress instant glam. Check out my suggestions below!

Channel your inner bohemian with these super comfy and chic maxi dresses for under $50. Tips on how to wear: If you’re petitie like me, wear wedges and stick to a solid color maxi (it helps elongate you) and keep jewlery to a mininum. For the taller gals, go all out with the jewelry! The longer the maxi the better. Don’t be afraid to throw on a floor grazing maxi with floral or funky tribal prints (with ballerina flats or flip flops). Check out some of favorite maxi dresses below!
