Maternity Outfits: Cardigan For Day & Night

Well it’s now been 10 days since I’ve been on bed rest for contractions (you can read all about it here and here).  Gone (for now) are the days of getting dressed and taking outfits pictures. Not that I’m complaining it just feels like time is literally frozen and although I’m beyond grateful that I’m even able to sit at home and rest it does seem unreal that I can’t even go to Target or cook my kids a meal (actually that’s one the very few bonuses of bed rest – I hate cooking).  With that said I had a few outfit posts scheduled for this month and because of the bed rest I decided instead to feature the item I was going to initially wear and some outfits that I would be wearing if I wasn’t on bed rest.  🙂

For this post the focus is on the cozy crotchet cardigan from Pink Blush.  I paired it with a simple tee and booties for day and for night I paired it with a sexy pencil skirt and a plum colored top.  Each and every item in both outfits can easily be combined to form an entirely different outfit or worn with just about anything in your closet.  Great maternity pieces that can be worn post baby as well.  Check out the looks below.

Lace Maternity Dress

I’ve been searching high and low for a dress to wear on New Year’s Eve and it hasn’t been the easiest task.  Sure they’re tons of cute maternity dresses but they never ever seem to fit me the way I want them to.  They’re always too lose at the bottom giving it a tent like look.  I understand the purpose of the fit and I’m all about the comfort but when it comes to just wanting to look and feel normal for one night and snap some pics it just doesn’t work for me.  In comes Pink Blush maternity who graciously sent me a beautiful burgundy lace dress that not only fits me perfectly but it also has three quarter sleeves, a flattering must and a good amount of stretch for comfort. I literally did the happy dance when I opened the package.  The burgundy color gives the affordable dress a luxurious look that would be perfect with any of my heels once I have the baby and can fit back into them.  Check it out below and make sure to check back next week where I will style the other adorable piece that they sent me.
