Dressing your post baby body can be a bit overwhelming but dressing up and standing in front of the camera in a outfit is just down right traumatic! I’ve made a pact with myself I’m forcing myself in front of the camera and wearing items that are already sitting in my closet (with the help of lots and of layers of spanx lol) in the hopes that it will motivate me away from my laptop and onto to the treadmill. I dont want to lose too much I just want to get rid of the belly my biggest pet peeve when getting dressed. This specific dress that I bought for 5 bucks at Marshalls has some pleating in the front which helps conceal the pooch. I decided to wear it for Mother’s Day when I realized that it fit me. It was a tad big on me before and now it fits me perfectly…. talk about taking the good with the bad! I love the dress but hate that it fits. 🙂
What I’m Wearing: Dress – $5 from Marshall’s (also seen here) | Boyfriend Blazer – $39.99 from Target (also seen here), Green Belt – $6 from Target (see how I worked it into another outfit here) | Striped Pumps – $29.99 from Forever21.com | Lexington Watch by Michael Kors from ShopBop.com (also seen here
Add a touch of metallic to any outfit and you’ll instantly have a more attention grabbing look. It can be in the form of shoes, bags, pants or as I prefer a skirt. This pleated metallic mini skirt is adorable and sassy. It’s rosette print gives it a vintage-y touch while the metallicgives the skirt the sexiness. Pair with chunky knits and tights for now and later or wear it with a denim jacket and tee. I can totally see Olivia Palermo rocking this skirt with a chic turtleneck and huge shades! Check out how I styled it below
Chunky knits will make this skirt easy to wear during the day. Pair with tights and add some layering for a chic winter look.
For a touch of masculinity simply add a boyfriend coat.
Metallics are easily made casual with a graphic tee, flats and a fab sweater. Try this skirt with bright bold jewelry with pops of red for Valentines Day.

SO happy I can still squeeze into this black dress and my favorite white blazer. Love the black and white combo for an evening look and the red bag for a pop of color. I’ll definitely have this red bag in hand a lot during the holidays. Wondering why I’m rocking the animal print heels a lot lately? They’re one of the very few heels that still fit me comfortably. Thank God I love them. 🙂
Shoes are comfy for about 20 minutes. Had to put them aside to finish taking pictures. Good thing I packed my flats inside my bag 🙂

I love me a great layering piece like the following dreams sweater from Modcloth. Perfect to drape over a pretty dress or jacket, layer under a jumper or blazer or even just slung around your hips. I took one look at it and immediately knew that I would style it for a fun quirky fall look. First I added a flirty a-line dress, must have suede booties, denim jacket and a cozy knit beret and convertible gloves. To finish off the look the following dreams sweater would be draped over the denim jacket with the adorable kittie tote at your side.
Lots of great fall pieces that can be worn a ton of different ways in just one outfit. For a dressier version you can easily add a sequin mini, tights and pumps or go casual with flared jeans, wedges and a blazer. Either way you can’t go wrong with this cute versatile sweater.
I’ve always been an avid thrift store shopper and nothing is more exciting than finding something you love on the cheap. Just the other day my son asked me to take him thrifting and I was SO excited not only because he showed an interest in one of my passions, but also because we were going on a day that offered 50 percent off clothes. While my son was looking to find what he called “Cosby” type sweaters I hit the women’s clothing section and found a spotted faux fur coat for $16 but I got it $8! I expected the coat to need some type of tailoring but it fit perfectly and it’s in amazing condition! I won’t be wearing it too often here in Florida but I now have a super cute coat for my frequent NY visits.
What I’m Wearing:
Vintage Faux Fur Coat – $8 from Local Thrift Store
Mint Green Dress – $7.50 from T.J. Maxx
Betsey Johnson Sunglasses $20 from T.J. MAxx
Bracelets from Forever 21
“It’s way too matchy match” is a phrase I use so often that even my kids know what I mean! My pet peeve has little to do with color. To me style should look effortless and when the pieces you’re wearing are too matchy match it looks intentional. Take for example my favorite pattern stripes. I always have a striped tank, a striped scarf, or a striped sweater (like the one below) on hand whenever I feel something is a little too matchy match. My general rule of thumb is, if it’s going to be a matchy match kinda outfit I’d rather go the monochromatic way and use the color head to toe. Intentional? Heck yeah but it’s a minimalist style that so chic – it supposed to be intentional. Below I paired one of favorite striped sweaters, polka dot denim top and ankle zip skinnies.
What I’m Wearing:

Polka Dot Denim Top – $24.99 from Forever 21
Ankle Zip Skinny Jeans – $19.99 from Marshalls

Aviator Sunglasses – $9.99 from Ross
