Just a few pairs of shoes that will be in heavy rotation this summer. 🙂
I wanted a pair of strappy sandals but I find them a tad uncomfortable. These heels (on the left) by Dolce Vita are a perfect replacement. They lace up the front but still give me the support I need. They’re by far one of my favorite! The Steven wedges are amazing! They go with everything and look amazing with a little black dress. The metallic wedge give them a little glitz and the tan color keeps them casual – love them!
As much as I love my heels I need to be realistic. I can’t always run around with heels while I’m with the baby. For those busy days I have my Yosi Samra sandals in white with animal print. SO comfy! In my purse I usually carry around my London Sole ballerina flats. They go with everything anytime of the year!
For days at the playground I’ve also got some sneaks. I bought these keds like sneaks from a street vendor in NY for only $5 each. Nothing beats shopping those NY street vendors – nothing! I miss NY 🙁

I love bargain shopping and I love it even more when it’s a challenge! I was approached by Kmart and Sears to put together 4 celeb looks under $100 each and I immediately jumped at the opportunity. I knew exactly which look I wanted to recreate based off a sweater I had seen at brand spanking new Kmart I was shopping at a couple of weeks ago. It was a chunky knit cowl neck neck with three quarter sleeves (perfect for fall) that I really wanted but passed because I didn’t think I could fit into it. Well, I went back found a size that fit my bump perfectly along with a TON of others pieces that I LOVE and will use throught fall right into winter, throughout my pregnancy and hopefully once I lose some weight again.
While I was shopping at Kmart I’ve got to be honest I was shocked at the selection at the new spot in Tampa. They literally have a little bit of everything for everyone but what really impressed me was the selection of women’s clothing. They had just about every line that my local Kmart didn’t carry. They had everything from Nicki Minaj’s new line which I thought was shockingly cute with an enormous selection of jewelry to Jaclyn Smith’s line that surprised me even it had adorable sweaters and and jackets that I fell in love with…who knew!
I really had a hard time picking one outfit but I finally setled to do a copycat on Jessica Alba cute casual look with pieces that I can easily wear with just about anything else in my closet and the entire outfit is under $100! Check it out below:
What I’m Wearing:
I’ve had this skirt from Motel Rocks for some time and I’ve always worn it casually with a tank and denim jacket. This time I decided to dress it up a bit with a burgundy batwing cardigan, which is so lightweight I can wear it year round, and for a pop of color I added a blue bandeau top. Burgundy or shall I say oxblood is my favorite color this season – it gives everything a more luxurious feel. 🙂
What I’m Wearing:
Cotton Batwing Cardigan – $5 at
Bandeau Top c/o meet mark
Motel Tube Skirt c/o
Belt – $15 (last season similar one

I love shoes but my weakness has always been boots – especially the rugged worn in types. They give so much personality to any outfit and I love the maculine feel. I don’t own a ton of boots but that’s because I consider them investment pieces to be worn over and over again (the older they get the better they look). A favorite brand of womens fashion boots has always been Frye. They always look perfectly worn and the leather is SO thick and durable. I still remember buying my first pair when I was a freshman in high school called the Harness – I wore them to death! I still own my second pair, the Classic Campus (pictured below), which I bought after I saw Rachel on Friends wear them (so cheesy I know).
To me Frye boots are the epitome of a pair of bad ass boots! Check out some of favorites that I’ve been eyeing like the Paige riding boots (see below).

Last night out I went out with a few friends for some drinks and I wanted to wear something simple but chic. I decided on my new striped peplum top, skinny jeans and patent pumps but I felt like it needed a little something more so I grabbed my brightest clutch and pinned what’s actually a hair clip to my jacket. Sometimes it’s just the little things that make the outfit!
What I’m Wearing:
Striped Peplum Top – $12.99 at Marshalls
Blazer – $19.99 at Macy’s
Old Navy Rock Star Jeans c/o Old Navy (also seen here)
Sunglasses – $5 at Ross
So happy today is chilly! I pulled out my army green anorak, threw it on over a floral peplum top, cropped skinny jeans, my new red toms shoes and topped it off with meet mark’s snowflake inspired necklace (also seen here) . Love how one accessory can transform a casual outfit. Have a great weekend!
Gotta give credit where credit is due the adorable title is via meet mark. 🙂

I live in jeans. Whether day or night, I have dozens ready for any occasion. For the most part the majority of my jeans have some spandex in them (it’s a must for me because I’m curvy and like lots of women my weight tends to fluctuate a bit – what can I say I like to eat!). When I was asked to try out Old Navy’s The Rockstars, I was SO excited not only because I’m a die hard Old Navy fan (my entire family shops there and I’m a bit crazy about their sales) but also because they’re comfy and have the perfect fit for every body. When I first went to Old Navy to pick out a pair, I must admit I had a hard time picking just one. The selection is huge with colors like purple, yellow, brown cord, green and red that are amazing for fall. I ended up picking the classic dark denim because it offered me a lot of options with pieces I already own, but I totally fell in love with the pinks and reds and will probably head back next week to grab some. From 9/20 to 10/3 Old Navy’s The Rockstars will be on sale for only $19. Below is a glimpse of a day in my life with The Rockstars (and yes I really do change this much througout the day lol).
The Rockstars huge selection!
I had a hard time picking which one I wanted.
I had a few meetings and tons of calls so I paired The Rockstars with my favorite green blazer (aslo seen here), a white tee and black sling backs.
Out for a early dinner in The Rockstars, a polka dot cardigan, yellow cami and fuschia mary janes.
Later that night I swapped out the cardigan and threw on a dressier top for a night of dancing!
The following day I started my day wearing a polka dot denim top and The Rockstars.
Later on swapped denim top with a vintage cardigan and clutch (also seen here)
The Rockstars at Old Navy are a perfect fit for every body

Like a lot of people, there are days when being a mom and having a full time job collide in the worst possible way. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thrown style out the window in the interest of comfort, simplicity and sanity. Which is why I loved these wedges from
No matter kind of day you’re having or what outfit you’re wearing, these shoes will definitely kick it up a notch!
