Last night I had the pleasure of tweeting along with Beats By Dre during the 2014 VMA’s and let me tell you Beats made the second screen as fun as watching the broadcast! I was eager to watch some of my favorite performers like Beyonce, Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj but it was Bang Bang that was at every single turn all through the night! Beats and Target made sure to put strong women like Arianna Grande, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj on a major platform and I loved every single minute of it. Even Nicki’s wardrobe mishap was handled in a tasteful yet sexy way. When my kids heard Bang Bang they literally ran over and blasted it (I had my own little VMA party going on while I tweeted and watched!).
Of course I could not watch the VMAs without noticing what the stars were wearing: Izzy had a futuristic vibe to her dress, Taylor Swift shocked in a Mary Katrantzou romper, Jennifer Lopez showed some serious leg as only she can in a Charbel Zoe dress, Kim Kardashian wore Balmain and Beyonce looked like the queen she is in Nicolas Jebran dress.
Beats hands down won the commentary game during the show this year using real time gif instead of the typical chat. I was honored to be part of the convo cause my family and I are huge fans of Beats By Dre and all of my boys use the Beats By Dre headphones and I can’t work without my Pink Pill XL that I got as a birthday gift by my side (all of which are now available at Target). It was a fun filled night that ended with the amazing Beyonce winning the Vanguard of the Year. It was so cute to see Jay Z in the audience with little Blue Ivy dancing in his lap. B.o.B, the newcomer in rap has taken music to a brand new level. While most rappers are “gangsters” B.o.B intends to stay true to himself by not just rapping about sex, drugs, and money. His music is fun, catchy, upbeat and great for all ages! Check out some of my favorites below.
