Stylish Cardigans for Men

I love me a man in a cardigan!  I know a lot of men who initially turn their nose up at it, but it really doesn’t take any more effort to put on a cardigan than it does a sweatshirt (and you can even wear all the same items with it).  In fact that’s that’s my favorite way to see a cardiagn styled – with a tee and jeans.  A cardigan is also perfect to replace a blazer on a casual friday.  Tip:  Don’t put too much thought into wearing a cardigan – treat it like any other sweater/blazer/sweatshirt and you’ll see how easy and effortlessly stylish it is to wear.  Check out my faves from Yesstyle.

Stripe Trim Cardigan – $78

Color Block Cardigan – $48

High Neck Cardigan – $58

Hooded Cardigan – $35

Notched Stand Collar Cardigan – $43.20

The Stylist Manifesto: First Day Of Class

If you’ve been following my Instagram lately (@stylstmanifesto) or my blog (despite my sporadic writing schedule), you’ll notice I tend to mix eras. Often this is done by seamlessly blending modern pieces with those of a vintage aesthetic. This ensemble was n exception. The driver’s cap is reminiscent of 1950’s California as are the tie and cardigan. The faint striping of said sweater contrasts the subtle striping of the tie and the almost indistinguishable black ticking of the jacket. For a bit of complication, a multi-check patterned button down peeks from beneath the cardigan and is interrupted by the aforementioned vintage tie. Then I selected Japanese tailored denim by gap with a classic Brando/Dean cuff. Finally, as two complimentary garnishes, I chose the super limited (released 2012 and sold out everywhere) Clot X G-shock Translucent Red watch.  As the blue and red palettes are always complimentary, the choice was obvious. 🙂
