Maxi Dress From Day To Night

If there’s one thing I’ve learned this pregnancy it’s that a maxi dress is your best friend.  I’ve always worn them but never have I appreciated them as much as I have these past couple of months.  Besides being the comfiest thing to wear in between sizes, they’re SO versatile and great for post baby as well.  This one from meet mark has been sitting in my closet forever because it was too big but now it’s a real life saver. I LOVE the blue and its lace cap sleeves.  I’ve worn it a ton of times in so many different ways for day and night.  For day I wear it with my green anorak, chain link necklace and my one of my favorite lucky brand bag (which comes in handy to when switching out heels for flats when your feet can’t take it anymore). For night, I just added a sparkly necklace, metallic satchel and took off the jacket.

What I’m Wearing: Blue Maxi Dress c/o meet mark | Green Anorak from Ross (also seen here) | Clear Stone Necklace (also seen here)  $10 from Target| Gold Satchel also seen here – $8.98 from Target.com | Chain Link Necklace c/o Twisted Silver | Animal Print Heels  – $14.99 at Target.com | Bag from Lucky Brand | Timex watch c/o Timex | Penny Wayfarer Sunglasses (also seen here) c/o Stun Sunglasses

Yala’s easy to wear Bamboo Dreams Maxi Skirt is like a swiss army knife: it’s a skirt, a cover up, and a dress all wrapped up in one.  Super versatile and comfy (it lays on your skin like a well worn pair of pajamas) Yala is an invitation to enjoy every moment of your life and to share beauty and comfort along the way.  Truly, deeply, madly recommend Yala; and a huge thank you to Yala for sedning me what’s quickly becoming my favorite “go to” dress!  What more could a girl want!Quick fitting tip: sizes run big so order down a size.  Discover how you too can wear your Maxi Skirt to its fullest potential in the video below.

Celebrity Redo: Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria’s outfit is just plain old blah!  The pattern on the dress overwhelms her petite frame and the blue tote only adds to the confusion.  For the redo, simplicity was the key: I kept Eva in blue and used the bag and necklace to kick it up a notch.  What do you think of Eva’s look?

Celebrity Redo (Kinda): Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie making a grand entrance at Kitson to promote her jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960.  The newly pregnant Nicole looks absolutely stunning in this long, white maxi dress.  Although I love her breezy and care-free look, I just don’t think the cut is realistic (nor flattering) for the everyday gal.  The jewelry from her Harlow line clearly reflects her style (which I’m a fan of) but  it’s a bit on the pricey side, so I switched that out as well.

Celebrity Copycat: Jennifer Aniston

A bit pricier than my usual Copycat post but I really liked Jennifer Aniston’s look and I think it’s a style that will be around for a while (especially in the color gray).  I don’t usually make a habit of buying dresses at this price online, but a J.Crew maxi dress ( or a long A Lined Hem as they describe it) is a hard one to pass up!
