Like any new mom, I’m totally obsessed with my beautiful new baby boy. He just started smiling and I walk around like I was the paparazzi snapping pics in the hopes of another great big gummy smile to share on Instagram. If you look at my Instagram feed you’ll notice that my kids are my usual focus (I have 5 boys so it’s sort of impossible not to be inspired). I always try to encourage them to do what they love and capturing those moments on camera is a dream come true for me!

Getting my kids ready for back to school has always been my favorite time of the year! I love shopping for their new shoes and outfits. Last weekend I took advantage of Tax Free Weekend and bought them the majority of their clothes. I still have school supplies and hair cuts but I’ll get that done after registration. I hit up my favorite store like Ross, Marshall’s and TJ Maxx but I did find a lot of great deals at Bealls (a FL family department store). My little one was determined to get himself a pair of sneaks that had some type of bright color in them so these Nike’s were perfect!

Famous Footwear sent me some gift cards to shop their store and used my last one on these metallic sandals (read about them here)
While shopping for the boys at JC Penney I found Joe Fresh flip flops for only $1.99 and in the perfect shade of green! SCORE!
I saw this bow tie tee and had to have it for my Bobby! I bought the plaid button down for only $7.99 and the tee for $4.99 at Ross.
Looks like another Anderson was bitten by the musical bug. 🙂
The summer craziness continues! I manage to sneak off to the beach. It wasn’t for long but at least I got a little color.
Went shoe shopping at Famous Foootwear and found these super cute stripe espadrille’s.
Swung by parents to celebrate my dads birthday which kicks off a very busy birthday season. There’s at least three birthdays every month all the way till February. Fun stuff! 🙂
It’s been one of the rainiest summers ever. I love it but making plans outdoors is almost impossible. I saw this double rainbow after a really bad storm slammed us. Wish I could have got a better shot but it’s still beautiful.
Robert got to sneak off to the movies with my parents. He loves the one on one time. 🙂
Simple avocado and corn salad is a definite summer favorite. So yummy and easy we just chopped up 1 whole red onion, 1 whole avocado, 1 can of white sweet corn and 5 cherry tomatoes. For the dressing we used 1 tablespoon of vinegar, salt to taste, pepper to taste, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and a a splash of lemon juice.
I love me a good perk! Got this perk from eclos and I can’t wait to try them out.
I love my new curling iron by Hot Tools! It’s a 3/4 inch ceramic barrel that managed to curl all my thick hair in about 15 minutes. Bonus: it smoothes out the frizzy!
I find dressing for florida summers a bit of a challenge sometimes. It’s too hot for jeans and layering but wearing shorts and summer dresses all the time can get a bit monotonous. Sometimes I just take the pain, crank the ac and put together an outfit that’s more me. 🙂 Yesterday I wore a chambray button down from Walmart (seen here), yellow Old Navy tank (seen here) and a animal print mini skirt. The whole outfit was under $30 and super comfy (as long as the ac was on high lol).
I’ve been pretty busy moving and getting radjusting to my new house. I haven’t been able to take any photos of outfits and its been raining for about two weeks straight but I’ve been trying to snap some pics. Check out some of my
In the middle of a food run for the hungry movers I found this striped piggy at Walmart and had to have it!
Even though I didn’t do any major lifting I still needed a break. 🙂
Here’s William with his new guitar. I still remember when he was three how he would wake up every morning put on his Shrek cd, grab his little guitar and sing his heart out. 🙂
One of the very first things I hung was my favorite metallic mirror.
It’s been raining on and off for almost two weeks…I love it and I also love the new view from my backyard.
During the move I happen to find a box of old shoes and in it were my gold metallic flats that I’ve been looking for. YAY! 🙂
Hope everyone has a fun Fourth of July!
This weekend after I celebrated my sons 8th birthday I decided to take a few days off and do what I do best…SHOP! I took my time and hit a bunch of local Tampa boutiques that I love and found a ton of great stuff on sale. Although I never made it to a mall, I did make my obligatory stops at Ross, Marshalls and of course T.J. Maxx. My favorite purchases were the gray booties and chambray top seen below that I found for only $5 at T.J. Maxx. I’ve been looking for this particular worn-out grayish/taupe colored booties for some time now, and I finally found them on sale for only $20! The built in wedge gives me the height that I always want but still keeps me super comfy. I can’t wait to wear them with my shorts and skirts this summer (actually this weekend because it’s going to be in the 80’s). Click here for some outfit ideas.
I can’t believe he’s 8 years old!
I had an amazing Christmas with my family and celebrated New Year’s at my usual spot the Copa Restaurant & Lounge in Tampa (a small and friendly place that I LOVE). I was grateful for all that 2012 brought me and I look forward to another amazing year. Hope everyone’s year is off to to a great start.
Nothing but love on Christmas morning.
I love the fact that my little ones dressed themselves and the older ones still let me dress them. lol
Crazy week but grateful I got all my shopping done and I managed to snag a few things for myself. 🙂
Last week all of my kids had the flu, which I caught on Thanksgiving, and then this week I dislocated my shoulder and somehow hurt my back (doctor tells me it’s probably just a pinched nerve but recommended I see a specialist because of the pain). It’s been really difficult to keep up with anything (I haven’t even bought one Christmas gift yet!) I did however mange to convince my mom and kids to help me finish decorating the tree and put up the lights outside. The only time I got out this week was for multiple doctor appointments for my arm and back but what made my day was receiving my Mammouth Crocs. It was perfect timing because theyre SO comfy and make walking with a pinched back nerve a little easier (I snapped a few pics before I was back in bed). But I can’t complain! I have my mac and iphone, I caught up on shows and updated my Christmas music song list. Check out below some of favorite spanish Christmas songs below 🙂
El Gran Combo – No Hay Cama Pa’Tanta Gente
Mi Burrito Sabanero
Kiko El Presidente – Si No Me Dan De Beber
I’ve had a rough couple of weeks. All my boys have been really sick with the flu and I finally caught it. They were stuck in bed for the entire Thanksgiving break but fortunately my strain wasn’t that bad (it’s still lingering though). I did manage to put up el albolito (didn’t decorate it though lol) and go out for a few drinks. Anyway here’s a few of my instagram shots I took in between the chaos. 🙂
