Hilary Duff’s look is the perfect fall outfit! It’s got all the basics (sweater and jeans) topped off with a stylish hat and trendy booties.
Kristin Cavallari’s outfit is the perfect example of a transitional fall outfit. Wear it now as is and when it’s colder simply wear tights and add a denim jacket or faux fur vest. Love it!
Olivia Palermo’s outfit is perfection as usual. The burgundy/oxblood color makes it the perfect color palette for fall and the accessories give it character. A outfit that’s perfect for the upcoming holidays and can be taken apart and worn several ways. See below to get Olivias look for less as well as different ways to wear it.
I really really wish it got cooler much quicker down here in florida. I have to wait until November to actually feel a chill in the air. My outfits are pretty limited because it’s way too hot and I cant layer too much. Anyway, for you lucky people up north who want to keep your summer pieces out a little longer it’s pretty easy if you have some key pieces. Click on the small individual pictures of items for more info.
A classic that will never go out of style. Wear over all of your favorite summer dresses and add some tights or booties or both.
Chunky Knit Sweater
For a cozy feel try a chunky knit sweater with maxi skirts or layer over bright tank tops.
A casual jacket that’s perfect for chilly summer nights and cool fall days. Pair with a sexy little white dress and booties for a edgy look.
Sweatshirts are no longer considered lazy and sloppy. Pair now with shorts and skirts and later with a pair of leather bottoms and heels for a beyonce-esque look. Tip: go inexpensive and buy a few in different colors and if you happen to find a white one buy a few – those are the best!
Faux Fur Vest
For some glam try a faux fur vest. A perfect outfit would be a faux fur vest, your favortie striped tee, white jeans and booties – effortless! Faux fur’s are perfect beauce you can layer it over tees, blazers and even a little dress its a must have!
Opaque Tights are a no brainer. Black will go with everything from shorts and skirts while colored leggings are fun way to add color.
Add Some Brown Accessories
The color brown screams fall! Add some brown boots, bags or belts to instantly give your look a warm fall look.
Loved Kourtney Kardashian’s on the go mom style! Her outfits were sexy and comfortable, and they never looked like maternity/mom wear making her outfits perfect for anyone! This particular look is a fave because it manages to pull together three key fall pieces: quilted leather, riding boots and the always classic stripes.
I really cant pick a favorite piece this time i love them all. The striped tunic with ruching is super flattering, chic and only $13.99. The quilted faux leather jacket is a total must have this season and only $29.99. The riding boots are amazing and only $19.99 with loyal customer points, the hobo bag with metal details was on sale for $37.80, and the seamless leggings were $7.99. The total was around $109 but with the points I had on my Sears cards the total came to $98!! Another easy outfit to work into other pieces in your closet and can be worn right through winter all the way through spring.
Check out how I plan to wear the stripe tunic for day and night with some of the pieces from last weeks copycat.
I had so much fun recreating these outfits and I look forward to styling them post baby this spring. 🙂
I love the way Hillary Duff dresses and I don’t think she’s given enough credit for her style. She’s famous and has access to top designers but she always manages to keep a good balance between classic, trendy and sexy. Best of all she has a girl next door style that is refreshing and relatable. Here’s a great example: edgy leather pants toned down with a chambray top and booties. Stylish, sexy and perfect for a young mom.
I love me a great layering piece like the following dreams sweater from Modcloth. Perfect to drape over a pretty dress or jacket, layer under a jumper or blazer or even just slung around your hips. I took one look at it and immediately knew that I would style it for a fun quirky fall look. First I added a flirty a-line dress, must have suede booties, denim jacket and a cozy knit beret and convertible gloves. To finish off the look the following dreams sweater would be draped over the denim jacket with the adorable kittie tote at your side.
Lots of great fall pieces that can be worn a ton of different ways in just one outfit. For a dressier version you can easily add a sequin mini, tights and pumps or go casual with flared jeans, wedges and a blazer. Either way you can’t go wrong with this cute versatile sweater.
I love bargain shopping and I love it even more when it’s a challenge! I was approached by Kmart and Sears to put together 4 celeb looks under $100 each and I immediately jumped at the opportunity. I knew exactly which look I wanted to recreate based off a sweater I had seen at brand spanking new Kmart I was shopping at a couple of weeks ago. It was a chunky knit cowl neck neck with three quarter sleeves (perfect for fall) that I really wanted but passed because I didn’t think I could fit into it. Well, I went back found a size that fit my bump perfectly along with a TON of others pieces that I LOVE and will use throught fall right into winter, throughout my pregnancy and hopefully once I lose some weight again.
While I was shopping at Kmart I’ve got to be honest I was shocked at the selection at the new spot in Tampa. They literally have a little bit of everything for everyone but what really impressed me was the selection of women’s clothing. They had just about every line that my local Kmart didn’t carry. They had everything from Nicki Minaj’s new line which I thought was shockingly cute with an enormous selection of jewelry to Jaclyn Smith’s line that surprised me even it had adorable sweaters and and jackets that I fell in love with…who knew!
I really had a hard time picking one outfit but I finally setled to do a copycat on Jessica Alba cute casual look with pieces that I can easily wear with just about anything else in my closet and the entire outfit is under $100! Check it out below:
What I’m Wearing:
I love a classic cape! Styling them is a cinch and takes any outfit to a sophisticated level. I personally like a solid color because they’re easier to wear a ton of different ways. The idea is to keep what you wear underneath them unfussy. Keep sleeves long and pair with skinny jeans (or leather leggings for a edgy touch), a shift dress and even a maxi skirt. Check out my favorite cape from Yesstyle for only $50 styled three ways.
Waxed skinnies and a leopard print sweater will give any cape a edgy feel.
A Midi dress (another fall fave) will add a sexy touch to the classic cape.
For a casual look add a chambray top and graphic ankle pants to your cape.
