Quilted Black Booties & Tights

I have hundreds of pair of shoes!  I’m such a shoe freak that if I happen to find shoes that I absolutely love, I buy multiple pairs.  My particular weakness has always been boots – whether high heeled boots, riding boots, or even cowboy boots – because they make any outfit ooze the perfect rough and tumble vibe.  To say that I was super excited to not only work with DSW again (you can see my last post here) but also be sent two pair of boots of my choice would be an understatement!

Picking a pair of boots that I liked was easy; narrowing it down to two was a little tough because DSW has an enormous selection of styles.  I wanted a little bit of a challenge, so I chose two completely different looks.  For my first pick, I went with a pair of high heel boots.  I loved the fact that they had the perfect combo of sexy with its sky-high heels but also edgy with a buckle, quilt and rubber soles.  The details are definitely on point!  When I first put them on I was a little skeptical about the heel being SO high.  I’m pretty comfortable in heels but sometimes they can be slippery and hard to walk in – that was not the case with these boots.  The rubber soles kept them solid and the platform made them comfy and easy to walk in.

I decided to pair the booties with a little black dress, tights to add warmth and texture and a favorite oversized cardigan for a cozy touch.  This is something I would wear on a chilly night out to dinner with the girls or even on a date night. It’s super comfy, stylish and sexy.  Stay tuned to see my next pair of boots and how I styled them!

Leopard Heels Three Ways

If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw the pictures of me debating which pair of shoes to buy while out shopping at DSW. Well, I decided on the leopard print heels (like many of you suggested) and since the weather has finally begun to get a tad cooler down here in Florida and it was perfect timing for me to style my new favorite pair of shoes from DSW! I was so excited when I was offered the opportunity to not only choose a pair of shoes of my liking but to also style them three different ways for fall. Picking one pair was super hard because DSW has an enormous amount of shoes and boots to pick from, but I decided to step away from boots (my weakness) and instead go with these leopard heels  to give my fall outfits a sexy touch. The leopard print is a perfect addition to my fall outfits and I came up with so many looks I had a hard time picking just three.
My first look is perfect for a day of shopping. I kept it simple with boyfriend jeans and sweater but the heels made the outfit pop!

Leopard Heels Three Ways

For a date night look I went with all black. This outfit can easily be worn for a lot of my upcoming holiday events.

Leopard Heels Three Ways

In my third and favorite look I wore a long sleeve mini dress and an army green vest. It’s perfect for a casual weekend or even a casual day at work with some tights.

Leopard Heels Three Ways

How would you style these leopard print beauties for fall?

Review: Guilty Soles Shoe Membership Without A Monthly Commitment

Guilty Soles Shoe Club review

I like every other shoe obsessed girl have been tempted to try all of those monthly shoe clubs but I’ve never actually gone through with it. One of the main reasons why I’ve never actually gone through with it was because I didn’t want the monthly commitment of buying a pair of shoes without seeing the actually quality. I’m known to like a bargain and have no problem buying affordable shoes but to pay and join a monthly shoe club  scares me because it’s a year long commitment. So, when Guilty Soles offered me the chance to try out their shoe membership that DID NOT require a monthly purchase I immediately jumped at the chance. I actually  couldn’t believe that all it took was $49.95 membership fee and for one year you can choose how many times you purchase something for only $19.95. Not bad!  I took a few days to find a pair of shoes that really jumped out at me. They have a pretty big selection and I wanted to make sure that the pair I chose fit my style and would clue me into whether or not a membership would be worth it.

I narrowed it down to three pairs the Press Tour Black, Summer romance White and the Premier Blue heels. The Premier Blue heels jumped out at me the most because of the bold blue and animal print heel so I went with those. I got the shoes within 3 days and the packaging was so pretty! The gold box made it look like a Christmas gift and inside was a handy duster bag to keep the shoes. I was really impressed without even trying them on. When I went to try on the shoes I did panic a bit because for some reason I didn’t notice the heel zipper online. My feet have never fit well with heel zippers and I’ve always had to return any I bought. Not the case with these at all – they fit perfectly! The shoes all in all were exactly as I expected and more. They’re well made, impeccable details and pretty comfy considering they’ve got 5 inch heels. They’re a pair of shoes that are worth adding to my collection. Guilty Soles in my opinion is definitely worth the $49.95 member ship fee.  Even if you end up only buying just one pair for $19.95 it’s worth it!  I can’t wait to order my next pair!

Sponsored Post: Zac Posen’s Collection at David’s Bridal

Zac Posen, a well known designer to stars like Eva Longoria and Rhianna just to name a few, will be taking his designing skills down a different path – he is designing wedding dresses for every brides favorite store – David’s Bridal.  The collection is affordable but certainly does not lack any  designer details like the tulle ball gown, soft chantilly dress and my favorite detail the corset fit. To me, corsets take the dress to another level by giving it that empowering, sexy feel.   Most dresses are  in your traditional white, off-white bridal hues but the collection also has a few choices in black, taupe and even navy giving them both a edgy sexy feel.

In addition to the designer for less dresses, Zac’s collection will also have equally stunning accessories (my favorite part of any outfit). Each piece is less than $150 but look like family heirlooms.  I especially love the retro looking Crystal Leaf headband and the romantic Russian Tulle Blusher of which both would look perfect with any of the dresses. The accessories can easily be worn for other special occasions giving you even more bang for your buck.  When you combine the fabulous accessories with any of the dresses from Zac’s collection you get a glamorous luxurious look for your special day at realistic prices – you can’t beat that!

I truly do love seeing all these amazing designer collections that David Bridals continues to bring at amazing prices!  They make every brides fairy tale wedding that more possible.  Makes me wish I was planning a wedding for myself.  Check out the video of his collection below and check out some my personal favorites as well.

Fantasy Brands at Real-Person Prices

September 28, 2013 by
Filed under Fashion Tips & Finds

The hefty price tags touted by the couture creations and exquisite ensembles of high-end designers make them fiscal unachievable fantasies for even the most style-obsessed fashionista. There was a time when just one insanely covetable item from Marchesa or Philip Lim would mean forgoing food and rent for the foreseeable future. Then, like an answer to a posh prayer, came the brilliant idea known as the “diffusion line.” Most commonly this is when a top-tier designer pairs with a middle-market retailer to create an affordable, yet still visionary, capsule collection – thereby saving you from the fate of becoming a hopelessly chic homeless person. These fab collabs have been gaining popularity over the last few years, resulting in a treasure trove of quality garments for the discerning dresser on a budget. Read on to discover the cream of the current crop of these trendsetting teams, just be prepared to shop til you drop – with enough capital leftover to accessorize.

  1. White by Vera Wang at David’s Bridal. Nothing says “I’m going to live the rest of my life in happily wedded bliss” like floating down the aisle in a creation crafted by the queen of nuptials herself.  The amazing news is that now you can make that fantasy a reality by choosing one of the divine frocks from Ms. Wang’s diffusion line. This season’s collection was inspired by the, sigh, glamour of Old Hollywood.  Modestly priced between $728 and $1,348, it is impossible to not fall head over heels for one of these enchanting, elegant, affairs. Plus, she designs for the wedding party as well. Need we say more?

2. 3.1 Philip Lim for Target. The buzz about this cult designer’s collection for Target has grown into a collective roar with its recent release – and it’s well deserved. The bags alone are worth the hype. Full of sophisticated floral prints, skinny trousers and sparkly, fête-ready frocks, the line has caused a veritable stampede at some Target locations. With sleek looks to take you from a.m. to after-party, this is one dream team-up not to miss.

3. RACHEL by Rachel Roy for Macy’s. This elegant designer brings the class-with-an-edge attitude that makes her namesake line so covetable to her diffusion line. Her most recent creations include military-inspired pea coats, printed suits and feminine animal print dresses paired with motorcycle jackets. It’s a one-stop shop for wardrobe basics and of-the-moment trend pieces.

  1. Catherine Malandrino for Kohl’s. Malandrino is the most recent elite designer to create a limited-edition collection for Kohl’s DesigNation, and her accessible-yet-chic looks are the best yet. The romantic, Paris-inspired line is full of graphic, black and white pairings and intricately beaded shift-dresses.  Be sure to stock up on the perfectly styled lace-print tops and frocks – ideal for date night or a swanky holiday soiree.

  1. Truly by Zac Posen for David’s Bridal. Although the line isn’t set to debut until 2014, it will be worth the wait – if Posen’s gowns are anything like his red carpet creations, they will be magical. The illustrious designer’s foray into affordable wedding-wear is bound to be both a commercial and critical success. Boldly sophisticated, sexy and distinctively glamorous, Posen’s design aesthetic lends itself perfectly to bridal gowns. The creations promise to be couture quality at a price that won’t break your budget.

I can never have enough studded bracelets – they give dainty pieces a tougher feel and they have plenty of attitude to wear on their own.  I saw this Jules Smith studded pyramid bracelet that I loved and almost bought, but thankfully my frugal shopping OCD kicked in and I decided to look around and see if I can find one that had all the same details (which I did at Forever 21).  Check them both out below!

Sponsored Video: Vera Wang’s New Fragrance Be Jeweled

Vera Wang’s new sparkling fragrance “Be Jeweled” was announced by the house of Vera Wang as a spirited, feminine and independent fragrance.  Designed to capture the essence of an irresistible woman’s personality, the new fragrance is perfectly translated in the gorgeous bottle and video seen below.  I particularly love that Wang chose to tell the story of a ballerina who made her way into a fashion model, when she could have easily went with a more recognizable face.

The top notes of the sexy fragrance is red currant, pomegranate, champagne, passion fruit, florals, musk infused woods (a must for me in any frangrance) and pink sugar crystal…they remind of what girls are made of…sugar and spice and everything nice. 🙂

Available in an exquisite pale violet bottle with big bold gems along the top (think of a antique decanter draped with a beautiful necklace).  The fragrance notes make it perfect for day and night (another must for me) and can be found in 30, 50 and 75ml EDP. Be Jeweled was launched in 2013 and can be found now at Kohl’s.
