A little black dress is a closet staple but a little black dress that’s also a skirt and minimizes my waist and midriff is just genius! When I first got the Sassybax Convert-A-Skirt I immediately worried that it was going to be one of those suffocating fabrics – but it’s not. Sure it’s snug, but just snug enough to slim all the right spots. The more you play around with it the better it looks and what totally had me hooked was how when I realized that it held up the “little girls” and we all know that’s not an easy task. I wouldn’t say I would be able to go braless in it BUT any strapless bra would do (unlike other strapless dresses without support where I have to search high and low for maximum support). I’m obsessed with this dress! The fabric is a matte black making it super easy to dress up or down. It stays put which is important for me because I plan on wearing it on the dance floor and it’s machine washable. I could go son and on! It’s the perfect dress to pack on any vacation, for a night out on the town or under a blazer for a sexy office look. For more info on Sassybax’s Convert A Skirt visit

I love the way Hillary Duff dresses and I don’t think she’s given enough credit for her style. She’s famous and has access to top designers but she always manages to keep a good balance between classic, trendy and sexy. Best of all she has a girl next door style that is refreshing and relatable. Here’s a great example: edgy leather pants toned down with a chambray top and booties. Stylish, sexy and perfect for a young mom.
The Diet Dr Pepper
Just last weekend I went shopping for some spring shoes and I knew I wanted booties. At first I was looking for a black and brown pair, but then I saw this tan suede pair with a gold platform and they were only $20! Right away I knew that they’d be perfect to dress up or down so I snagged them right away. The first outfit I wore them with a pair of mint green skinny jeans, a simple white tee, a boyfriend blazer and a polka dot scarf. For my second outfit I wore the booties with my go-to skirt and a chambray top. I love the way it gives the black skirt a more laid back look without taking away the dressy part. This particular outfit was under $100 and I’ve worn each piece a ton of different ways.
Not bad for a pair of booties that cost only $20! Check out some of my other day to night looks below.

There’s nothing sweeter (and sexier) then a pair of stilettos with a dainty studded bow! These shoes remind me of my favorite booties by Betsey Johnson (seen here and here) that cost me $250…and these studded bow back’s are only $60! Best of all Yeswalker is still running their BOGO which means you can buy two for the price of one! I know I will be ordering the ivory and brown for all my spring looks! Check them out below along with a outfit idea.
