A little black dress is a closet staple but a little black dress that’s also a skirt and minimizes my waist and midriff is just genius! When I first got the Sassybax Convert-A-Skirt I immediately worried that it was going to be one of those suffocating fabrics – but it’s not. Sure it’s snug, but just snug enough to slim all the right spots. The more you play around with it the better it looks and what totally had me hooked was how when I realized that it held up the “little girls” and we all know that’s not an easy task. I wouldn’t say I would be able to go braless in it BUT any strapless bra would do (unlike other strapless dresses without support where I have to search high and low for maximum support). I’m obsessed with this dress! The fabric is a matte black making it super easy to dress up or down. It stays put which is important for me because I plan on wearing it on the dance floor and it’s machine washable. I could go son and on! It’s the perfect dress to pack on any vacation, for a night out on the town or under a blazer for a sexy office look. For more info on Sassybax’s Convert A Skirt visit

Kendall Jenner’s outfit is perfect for a freezing winter day! I love how she gave her winter basics a glam touch by layering a faux fur vest over them. Easy to recreate with must have pieces that you probably have in your closet but if not check out my picks below.
Hilary Duff’s look is the perfect fall outfit! It’s got all the basics (sweater and jeans) topped off with a stylish hat and trendy booties.
Anytime I catch Victoria Beckham dressed casually I have to do a copycat. She does casual like no one else, it’s so chic and it looks effortless. In this look she paired an army green jacket (a must have for fall), dark skinny jeans with sexy high heeled booties. The perfect outfit with must have fall items that can easily be worn all day with flats and then with a simple swap of shoes you’re ready to have a quick evening drink. Love it!
Kristin Cavallari’s outfit is the perfect example of a transitional fall outfit. Wear it now as is and when it’s colder simply wear tights and add a denim jacket or faux fur vest. Love it!
Well it’s now been 10 days since I’ve been on bed rest for contractions (you can read all about it
For this post the focus is on the cozy crotchet cardigan from Pink Blush. I paired it with a simple tee and booties for day and for night I paired it with a sexy pencil skirt and a plum colored top. Each and every item in both outfits can easily be combined to form an entirely different outfit or worn with just about anything in your closet. Great maternity pieces that can be worn post baby as well. Check out the looks below.
Sequins: Try anything with sequins but I love me a sequin top and jeans. Tip: For a little layering affect get a slouchy top and leave little black or white tank peeking out from underneath.
Go Monochromatic: Pick a color (I prefer black, white or gray) and wear it from head to toe. Not only is it super easy to throw together but it also has a slimming effect AND a expensive feel.
Add a Statement Necklace: This is the easiest and fool proof way to dress up any outfit. Wear your biggest boldest necklace over a turtleneck, with a button down or over simple white tee. Tip: Look for necklaces with mixture of bold and basic colors. This will give you more wiggle room when styling a casual outfit.
I love the way Hillary Duff dresses and I don’t think she’s given enough credit for her style. She’s famous and has access to top designers but she always manages to keep a good balance between classic, trendy and sexy. Best of all she has a girl next door style that is refreshing and relatable. Here’s a great example: edgy leather pants toned down with a chambray top and booties. Stylish, sexy and perfect for a young mom.
I love me a great layering piece like the following dreams sweater from Modcloth. Perfect to drape over a pretty dress or jacket, layer under a jumper or blazer or even just slung around your hips. I took one look at it and immediately knew that I would style it for a fun quirky fall look. First I added a flirty a-line dress, must have suede booties, denim jacket and a cozy knit beret and convertible gloves. To finish off the look the following dreams sweater would be draped over the denim jacket with the adorable kittie tote at your side.
Lots of great fall pieces that can be worn a ton of different ways in just one outfit. For a dressier version you can easily add a sequin mini, tights and pumps or go casual with flared jeans, wedges and a blazer. Either way you can’t go wrong with this cute versatile sweater.
