I’ve gotten my share of
The first thing I did was test out the waxing strip on my legs and it worked great on spots with thicker hair. I did notice that rubbing the strips several times until you actually feel the wax warming helped out quite a bit. Overall, not much pain but like I said I’m never in serious need of a shave/wax.
After waxing I gave the body moisturizer and hair inhibitor a try and the first thing I noticed was how yummy it smelled! The moisturizer is exactly how I prefer moisturizers to be – light weight and without a greasy feeling. I used it every night after showering for one week and what did I notice? Extremely moisturized skin and my normal once a week leg shave was no longer needed – awesome!
After I cleared up a nasty break out on my face I decided to try out the facial strips. This made me a little nervous because my skin is so sensitive. I’ve had some pretty bad reactions to facial strips and have been using Sally Hansen Hair Removal Creme religiously for about 10 years. I applied the wax and strips on the sides of my face where my sideburns grow and rubbed until I felt the wax warm. I then closed my eyes, pulled the strip off and waited. Result? Clear smooth skin – love it!
I didn’t give the bikini bump blaster or the cooling spray a try but from the looks of it I’m sure they’re just as great. My favorite was the moisturizing hair inhibitor – it’s a nice treat after a long day on the beach. I definitely recommend giving any of these four products a try (especially during summer). Click
There are tons and tons of products that take up a good portion of my bathroom closet and the last time I counted there were at least two different products for every single task (whether makeup, hair or lotions to name a few). That’s why I am always on the look out for products that do more than one thing. This is especially important during the summer because like most women I need to do a little more primping and constant hair removal. While I have tons of different tools that take care of it, the Schick® Quattro for Women® TrimStyle® takes care of both trimming and shaving making it a definite must have for beach season…and if you’re like me and tend to leave this important primping to the last second then it’s definitely a must have!
The 4 blade razor end is key to the Schick® Quattro for Women® TrimStyle® close shave giving it a long lasting shave and the razor is so easy to use (especially for those of you that wax and tend to skip appointments and just need a quick trim) or even for decorative purposes for ladies who like to shape and trim themselves. All in all it’s a handy unit that’s packaged pretty and compact making it easy to pack in a beach bag, on a trip or in your purse if the need arose.
Schick® Quattro for Women® TrimStyle® enables women to shave, trim and transform themselves with a simple flip of the handle. Achieve a shave so smooth you can skip a day or two with this must-have accessory that gives women the confidence and energy to feel free in their skin.

I’m far from being a expert in applying makeup but I am a busy mom who has a few tricks up my sleeve. The key for me is to keep my makeup routine quick and easy, mostly because I’m up by 6:30 a.m. and out the door by 7 a.m. Below are my favorite six products that I apply in less than five minutes:
1. Loose powder foundation (it’s fool proof and keeps the oil to a minimum).
2. Bronzing powder. Besides using it on my cheeks I also dab it on my eyes in place of eyeshadow and even add a tad on my lips for a little tint.
3. Mascara. I use three coats but for me the key is to apply more towards the outer lashes and wiggle the brush inwards (it opens up the eye giving it a wide awake look).
4. A little bit of eyeliner on the upper and lower corners of the eyes.
5. White eye shadow applied to the corner of my eyes using a Q Tip for a brighter look.
6. Lip balm and lipgloss. I apply the lip balm all over and use the lipgloss only on the center of my lips (it gives the illusion of a fuller lips).
During the summer I take it down a notch and only use a basic SPF 30 moisturizer, mascara and lipgloss. I started using the loose powder foundation when I moved to Florida because it has a longer staying power against the humidity, but lately it’s been leaving my skin looking dull. Which is why I was so excited when I was offered the chance to review some of Revlon® new products like their new Photo Ready BB cream with SPF 30 and their super lustrous lipgloss and lipstick.
Revlon’s Photo Ready BB Cream offers a lot for the price: hydration like a moisturizer, a foundation like coverage, smooth like a primer and covers up flaws like a concealer (all while protecting your skin with SPF 30). My skin is acne prone but also gets dry if I don’t hydrate, so when I applied the bb cream the first thing I noticed was the creamy, soft texture and how easy it was to blend into my skin. I didn’t want to add too much of any other makeup products because I wanted to really see if it let me skin show through – which happily it did. The coverage was sheer and left a fresh face feel and look which is perfect for someone like me who likes to wear makeup but not look like I’m wearing it. Other observations include:
I wore the BB Cream all day running errands in a 90 degree/humid dyad it stood the test. It looked just as fresh from beginning to end (I just wish I could say the same about my hair!).
The lipgloss and lipstick shades are gorgeous! I don’t normally wear such bold shades but these weren’t harsh. The berry allure lipgloss (see below) was sheer and super shiny and the lipstick was overall very pretty and perfect for evenings.
Revlon has now gotten my beauty routine back on track and I’m officially hooked on the BB cream!
Revlon believes there is more than one way for women to be seen. Revlon’s heritage as a color authority and its suite of innovative products inspires women around the world to express themselves through beauty each and every day.

I’m on a first name basis with the beauty consultant at Walgreens (Brenda) and have been for quite a few years. She’s always so helpful and quick to point out any new products that I might like. So when I was asked to review some Neutrogena products I was so excited! Brenda knows I love me my mascara and the fact that I go through an enormous amount, so as soon as I asked her which Neutrogena products she would recommend her immediate response was the NEUTROGENA® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. I then told her that with the summer heat starting to get a bit intense my current eyeliner was smudging way too easily – so she recommended NEUTROGENA® Nourishing Eyeliner (and because she knows me so well she grabbed Neutrogena’s new revitalizing lip balm as well).
The NEUTROGENA® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are amazing! I wish I could have gotten the tub but they were out so I got the refill pack instead. Because I have sensitive eyes, I buy tons of cleansing towelettes and most other products are dry and scratchy. These were so soft and it slid my makeup right off which is important for me because I use a lot of mascara. The towelettes did the job! They were strong enough to remove it all but sensitive enough for my eyes.
When Neutrogena says its eyeliner won’t fade boy do they mean it! I really put the NEUTROGENA® Nourishing Eyeliner to the test. I did my usual cat eye and it glided so effortlessly that it made my usual clumsy job look flawless! Then I headed out for a night of dancing and it lasted all night even through my sweating. 🙂
The NEUTROGENA® Revitalizing Lip Balm was probably my favorite item and I’m so happy Brenda pointed it out. It’s got all the bells and whistles wrapped into one handy lip balm: it leaves my lips soft, has a slight tint and is SPF 20 (which is a must for me all year round). I’m hooked!
I usually try to keep myself to a monthly visit to Walgreens because I can be dangerous in there and also because I like to accumulate as many points on my Walgreens balance rewards card. I think I have a good $10 or $15 dollars on it right now which I plan on using for my next trip there for the Night at the W. The Night at the W at Walgreens is the ultimate in-store event. It provides a chance for ladies to speak directly with a Walgreens specially trained beauty advisor about facial skin care and cosmetics. The event will also give consumers an opportunity to get great deals on Neutrogena facial skin care and towelettes and free samples (while supplies last) AND customers will have an opportunity to enter the Night at the W “Expect the Unexpected” sweepstakes when they purchase participating Neutrogena products (qualifying products listed below).
