Every dollar counts this holiday season and I used my American Express Membership points (around $250) to purchase a 5  great gifts for family and friends (and still had a little left over for myself!). American Express has one of the top membership programs out there not only from a point/dollar spent ratio, but also because of their unique partnerships with retailers enabling you to stretch that dollar bill a little further. Check out who won the challenge and my top five online finds below and I’d love to hear what you scored on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday or Cyber Monday.

For my cousin, who’s a fashion lover like myself, I chose these adorable striped leggings for $29  They’re perfect with boots, slouchy sweaters, tunics or even a skirt.

My best friend is a tough one, but I’m sure she’ll love this beautiful blanket wrap.  If not, I’ll just keep it for myself!  🙂

My brother is a watch lover and has a pricey collection. I chose this Rubber Watch from Forever21 for only $21.90.  It has a ton of personality without the hefty price tag and perfect for everyday use.

I decided to gift myself a pack of white ribbed tees  (yes I know they’re for men but I love me a good white mens t-shirt).  At I got 2 tees for $18.50.  Best of all they are running a promotion called “Trade in your Hanes.”  Simply send in your old Hanes (or any other brand undershirt) and Ribbedtee with donate them to charity and send you a 50 percent off coupon for any product on

And for my father, who is an avid runner, I bought the Ipod Nano.  Not bad, huh!

Congratulations to Elena, who is the winner of the $250 Amex gift card. Elena provided the following winning comment: My tip: don’t buy something you don’t need just because it’s a good deal.  Congratulations Elena and thank you all for participating!
