I love it when fashion joins forces with a good cause. amfAR, the foundation for AIDS research, just announced the release of a special edition tote bag by fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for HIV/AIDS.
The exclusive launch will be at Bloomingdale’s department stores for a limited time. The stylish limited edition tote bag will have a nautical-inspired design by Gaultier, a longtime supporter of amfAR, along with the designer’s signature across the front. Another friend of the amfaR foundation is the gorgeous model Heidi Klum who graciously donated her time to model the bag (see below)
“I have admired amfAR and their dedication to finding a cure for HIV/AIDS through research for many years now,” said Klum. “This tote bag is a great way to make a statement – whether you’re at the beach, by the pool, or at the park – and let people know that you are supporting amfAR’s efforts to end the AIDS epidemic.”
Starting June 1, the tote bag will be available at Bloomingdale’s department stores across the United States for only $35, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to amfAR’s research programs. The bags will also be available from amfAR at it’s online shops
When you live in Florida sandals are part of your wardrobe 365 days a year and I’m constantly looking for a new style. Because I’m always shopping for a new pair I’m more often than not searching for an affordable pair. Now if they’re a classic style that won’t go out of style I spend a little more but for the most part I try to stick under $50. Below I picked some of my favortie pairs under $50.

It’s already a daily 90 degrees down here in sunny Florida. This is what I call our winter! The days are long and inhumanely hot. Sure, lots of people head out to the beach but then you have people like me who would prefer to spend my time inside with my ac on blast with a nice cold drink! The perfect conditions for a girl’s night in, which is exactly what I plan to do this Memorial Day weekend. The boys will be outside grilling and the girl’s will be inside sipping on a sparkler that I came up with using the yummy Trop50 Raspberry Acai. I’ve been drinking the Trop50 OJ since last year when I got pregnant and was hooked so I knew I would equally love the
I like all of my drinks simple and quite honestly the raspberry acai is so good it doesn’t need much else. So all I did was add a little club soda to the raspberry acai, pineapple for some added sweetness and a dash of lime for some zing.
Ingredients to Make Raspberry Acai Sparkler:
4 oz of the Trop50 Raspberry Aqai
1.5 oz of club soda
1 dash of lime juice
1 slice of pineapple
Pour all ingredients into a 6 oz glass half-filled with ice (remember to leave enough space for the pineapple). Vary the amount of club soda to your taste. Add a pretty straw and enjoy!

I’m not one to wear tons and tons of makeup. My makeup routine is pretty simple: a dusting of powder foundation, a dab of bronzing powder and lots of mascara. But I noticed after having Joseph that my makeup routine was not cutting it – my skin was dull and just overall blah due to all the pregnancy hormones. In addition to replacing all those cups of coffee with water, I’ve been looking for a product that would allow my skin to breathe and shine on its own. Which is why I was super excited to be offered the 30 of beautiful challenge and try the new Clarins Double Serum! I’ve been a fan of Clarins for many many years and I’ve heard amazing stuff about the Double Serum.
Clarins Double Serum is powered by 20 pure plant extracts and potent, high-tech molecules—Double Serum’s innovative, dual chamber system combines two age-defying formulas into one groundbreaking serum that reactivates skin’s vital functions and promising results in just 4 weeks. I wanted to give this product a really fair shot so I went without makeup and moisturizer during the 30 days (only during my days at home) and let the product really do its thing.
I religiously applied it after washing my face in the morning and at night. One of my favorite things about the double serum is the smell – it’s divine and exactly like you’d expect any Clarins products to smell – rich ! I gave it a couple of days before I started to analyze my skin but I could literally feel it working. My skin immediately felt more plump and softer. Within 2 weeks it was noticeably brighter to the point where I was able to skip my foundation and that’s when I was hooked! After the full 30 days my pores and small fine lines were less noticeable. And it didn’t aggravate my sensitive oily skin which is a HUGE plus for me.
I realize that no amount of makeup or beauty product will ever match natural beauty but there comes a time in life when you need a little help, and Clarins Double Serum definitely does the trick and then some! So glad I tried this out – it has inspired me to keep up my new skin regiment and wear even less makeup.
Don’t forget you still have time to enter Clarins
“Clarins combines two age-defying formulas into one ground breaking serum that firms skin, reduces wrinkles, evens skin tone and minimizes pores. 90% of women find it more effective that their current serum. Proven for all skin types, all ages, and all ethnicities.”

I debated on two of Julianne Hough’s outfits, which is rare because she can be a little hit or miss. One minute she’s got the girl next door vibe, the next she looks like the conservative type. Here, she’s all sexy and leggy – and I loved both of the outfits. She does denim on denim perfectly and flawlessly pulls off the very iffy look of suspenders and cut-offs. Check out both looks for less. Tip: for a conservative spin on these looks simply swap out the cut off for some white flat front chinos or a denim skirt.
Dressing your post baby body can be a bit overwhelming but dressing up and standing in front of the camera in a outfit is just down right traumatic! I’ve made a pact with myself I’m forcing myself in front of the camera and wearing items that are already sitting in my closet (with the help of lots and of layers of spanx lol) in the hopes that it will motivate me away from my laptop and onto to the treadmill. I dont want to lose too much I just want to get rid of the belly my biggest pet peeve when getting dressed. This specific dress that I bought for 5 bucks at Marshalls has some pleating in the front which helps conceal the pooch. I decided to wear it for Mother’s Day when I realized that it fit me. It was a tad big on me before and now it fits me perfectly…. talk about taking the good with the bad! I love the dress but hate that it fits. 🙂
What I’m Wearing: Dress – $5 from Marshall’s (also seen here) | Boyfriend Blazer – $39.99 from Target (also seen here), Green Belt – $6 from Target (see how I worked it into another outfit here) | Striped Pumps – $29.99 from Forever21.com | Lexington Watch by Michael Kors from ShopBop.com (also seen here
Kate Hudson always looks so chic and it’s never too forced or overly trendy. In this look she gives a a lace top a sexy look by showing off her pretty bra and then paired the top with fun polka dot pants. I chose HM polka dot set that’s perfect for hot summer days where you can wear alone with the camisole and sandals.
