A cool leather moto jacket for only $15! It’s perfect for transitioning your summer dresses into fall and t $15 you can buy both (they never go out of style) or pick one up as a gift. Tip: Go up a size to allow some room for layering.
I actually love love love these curtains but I do eventually want a change. So I decided to look through some boxes I labeled decorative (aka stuff thrown around the garage) and I came across a bunch of antique plates that I always planned on hanging and use as decoration.
They didn’t offer much help for my room or living room because they didn’t match but I think they’ll be perfect in the kitchen. Most of them where handed down from my mother in laws antique collection but I also picked up a few of my own when I lived up in Jersey and went antiquing all the time. My original plan was to hang them inside an empty frame but I wanted to see what pintrest had to offer and I found some amazing ideas! I might still stick to hanging within black frame to modernize them a bit and it’ll give me the option of easily swapping them out. Tip: Look at stores like Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx or even Goodwill for affordable stylish plates.
There’s still plenty of hot summer days left and nothing screams summer like a pair of espadrille’s and I always invest in a nice pair that lasts year after year. Normally I buy a pair of wedge’s this year however the flat espadrille is all the rave and I love it!! It takes the casual espadrille to a comfier level without sacrificing any style. Great practical shoe to pack for a summer getaway and it can be worn in place of sneakers with cut off shorts, dresses or even jeans.
I found these adorable striped espadrille’s at Famous Footwear for only $29.99 but I got them for $25 because I had some saved up some points with their Famous Footwear Rewards program. I love that they have a reward program because affordable stores like Famous Footwear are a favorite among families and who doesn’t want to get something back and save a few dollars? I’ve shopped there for years for my family and with prices that low I can be pretty dangerous in there. I go in for one pair and always come out with two or sometimes even three.
Striped Espadrille – $29.99
While I love my striped espardille’s and certainly did not need another pair of shoes I still took another look around and found these strappy metallic sandals and I gotta say they are pretty fabulous. I’ve been looking for a metallic pair just like these for a while and they will be perfect to wear with just about all of my summer favorites and for only $29.99 I figured why not!. I love metallic sandals because you can still dress them up and be comfy making them a must have for summer days or nights. Check them out below.
The summer craziness continues! I manage to sneak off to the beach. It wasn’t for long but at least I got a little color.
Went shoe shopping at Famous Foootwear and found these super cute stripe espadrille’s.
Swung by parents to celebrate my dads birthday which kicks off a very busy birthday season. There’s at least three birthdays every month all the way till February. Fun stuff! 🙂
It’s been one of the rainiest summers ever. I love it but making plans outdoors is almost impossible. I saw this double rainbow after a really bad storm slammed us. Wish I could have got a better shot but it’s still beautiful.
Robert got to sneak off to the movies with my parents. He loves the one on one time. 🙂
Simple avocado and corn salad is a definite summer favorite. So yummy and easy we just chopped up 1 whole red onion, 1 whole avocado, 1 can of white sweet corn and 5 cherry tomatoes. For the dressing we used 1 tablespoon of vinegar, salt to taste, pepper to taste, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and a a splash of lemon juice.
I love me a good perk! Got this perk from eclos and I can’t wait to try them out.
I love my new curling iron by Hot Tools! It’s a 3/4 inch ceramic barrel that managed to curl all my thick hair in about 15 minutes. Bonus: it smoothes out the frizzy!
I find dressing for florida summers a bit of a challenge sometimes. It’s too hot for jeans and layering but wearing shorts and summer dresses all the time can get a bit monotonous. Sometimes I just take the pain, crank the ac and put together an outfit that’s more me. 🙂 Yesterday I wore a chambray button down from Walmart (seen here), yellow Old Navy tank (seen here) and a animal print mini skirt. The whole outfit was under $30 and super comfy (as long as the ac was on high lol).
