Silver and white metals complement most styles and sits well alongside all colours, making it the perfect addition to any outfit. In contrast to gold, a silver necklace will rarely clash with other styles and can be worn as discretely or overtly as the wearer chooses. A necklace is ideal for someone looking to create their own individual style. The necklace can be accessorised and allows the wearer to create their own signature look by embellishing it with a pendant or other item.

The versatility of a white metal necklace means that the consumer can chose from simplicity – a plain silver necklace right through to amore elaborately designed and embellished necklace with pendants or whatever takes their imagination. A simple silver jewellery necklace can form the start point for the wearer to progressively embellish the necklace over time, adding more amulets, stone or other jewellery items as they go along.

Cutting Edge Design – When you are looking for a quality silver jewellery necklace, you want it to be an example of the latest jewellery trends. Look for an online retailer of jewellery that has a silver jewellery necklace collection comprising of contemporary designs. For guaranteed style, look for a company that designs their silver jewellery necklace collection in London like John Greed Jewellery – stockists of high end designer brands Thomas Sabo, Big Metal and Coeur De Lion.

Quality Metals – Most people want their jewellery to last a long time and be wearable for many years to come. As a result, it helps to look for a silver jewellery necklace that is made of solid sterling silver. Not only does this mean it is a quality item that will be durable but it is kinder to skin than cheap nickel plated jewellery; ensuring those with sensitive skin do not suffer form an allergic reaction.Alternatively, for a more contemporary edge, aluminium and white bronze are both durable and non irritant and are featuring on the catwalk this season.

A Splash of Colour – Whether you are looking for a gift for a friend or necklace to add to your collection, you want to purchase something unique and stylish Don’t be fooled into thinking that silver has to be boring, that white gold has to fade into the background. Throw in some amethysts for a fashionable purple vibe, or if you are feeling that little bit brighter, have a look out for multicoloured necklaces that have that unmistakable summery feel,

If you are looking for something eye-catching but affordable, visit online retailers like www.gems.tv. Their beautiful collection has something to suit every taste and budget. Whatever else you do, step out in style in jewellery that makes a personal statement this season!

Fall Shoe Trends

July 26, 2012 by

Are you already thinking ahead to the fall? Do you agonize over what you will wear and if your shoe choices will size up to the style watchers? If you want to be ahead of the trends in shoe styles for the fall season, then get to work now. The new style trends are out, and there is something for everyone. Start saving and shopping now. You can store your trendy, new shoes in your closet until the weather starts to change and the leaves begin to fall. You’ll be glad you did. Here is how to get your feet in this fall’s trendiest women’s shoes:

Pilgrim Shoes

Who knew the Pilgrims and their style would make a comeback? They are this fall. Designers like Marc Jacobs are pairing the traditional loafer-like shoe into an updated Pilgrim shoe with a chunky heel, a dazzling medallion on the toe, and bright colors such as plum. Pair a funky Pilgrim shoe with jeans, pants, dresses, skirts — they will fit just about every clothing ensemble you have in your closet!

Manolo Tweed Pumps
Tweed is back in a big way this season. But it’s more funky and colorful than you might expect to find tweed. This is not the tweed of your grandfather’s church coat. Expect to see Manolo tweed pumps with bright ribbons of purple, orange, pink, and black. Pair these tweed pumps with jeans, suits, dresses, and any other outfit that combines a solid color. The tweed pumps add a design flair and interest to an outfit of two main solid colors.

Strappy Gold Heels

Got somewhere fancy to go? Strap on a pair of shiny gold heels this fall. In fact, strappy gold heels are so versatile that you can wear them with a dress for an elegant dinner or you can pair them with a skinny jeans and a sweater. Look for strappy gold heels that offer a little interest, such as featuring tiny buckles around the ankles. You’ll get lots of compliments as you take this strappy, sexy shoe from night into the day!

Ankle-Strap Platforms

These shoes might take a little practice walking in, but they are surely a show-stopper. Grab a pair of these chunky yet sexy high-heeled shoes in a solid color or an animal print. These shoes are another versatile pair that can carry you from day into night. During the day, wear them with skinny jeans. At night, pair them with a sexy, short dress.

Why spend your hard-earned cash on full price shoes? You can get designer, fall women’s shoes for a reduced price if you are a smart shopper. Start a season ahead and look for designer shoes that are on sale. Marc Jacobs, Guess, Nine West, Michael Kors, Bandolino, and BCBG have their latest fall shoes out on the marketplace now, but they will go on sale. The best part about shopping for fall shoes while it is still hot outside is that you have time to buy. You can bookmark your favorite fall shoes and then keep checking their prices online until they go on sale. With a little patience and a little research, you will be able to score a collection of fall shoes that top the trends lists!

Movie Night!

I bought these studded flats by Steve Madden from TJ Maxx (seen here) last week and decided to wear them out to the movies…but I was going out afterwards so I paired the flats with a little black dress and a denim cropped jacket.  Such an easy day to night outfit!  After the movies I just swapped out the flats for platforms (also seen here), removed the denim jacket and pulled out a studded clutch from my bag.

What I’m Wearing

Cropped denim jacket from American Eagle (similar version here), LBD dress for only $10 from Marshalls, studded flats by  Steve Madden only $50 from TJ Maxx, Michelle Valle convertible bag c/o meetmark.com, platform wedges c/o Shoeprivee (also seen here), studded oversized clutch c/o Yesstyle (no longer available), bracelets are a mix of vintage and ones I bought from Francesca’s Collection and Charlotte Russe.

Sexy Can Be Comfy

I normally save my heels for a night on the town as they simply are not comfy enough for all of the running around I do during the day.  On a whim, I decided to try out these heels from The Jennifer Lopez Collection at Kohls and was pleasantly surprised.  I ran around for about two hours and they’re just as sturdy and comfy as a pair wedges (which I normally wear during the day).  SO glad I decided to give them a try because I love wearing heels to give my casual outfits a sexier touch.  The outfit below is pretty much my day style:  an off the shoulder top with jeggings.

What I’m Wearing

Off the shoulder top c/o Yesstyle (similar version here), leggings from $9.99 at Ross, my FAVORITE sunglasses at the moment  $10 from TJ Maxx, necklace/belt c/o Trendenzas (also seen here), shoes c/o Kohl’s (no longer available), my favorite Balenciaga inspired bag from Belloiris (also seen here) and bangles for only $2.00 on clearance from Forever21 (similar version here)

All About The Accessories

July 18, 2012 by

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again…I’m all about accessories (especially pieces that are versatile and good for all seasons!).  From vintage inspirtaional pieces, bangles piled on high, to studded pieces and funky glasses/sunglasses, accessories are the easiest way to add your signature touch to any outfit.

These studded flats from TJ Maxx have tons of personality and will give any outfit an edgy vibe.

Classic mens button down shirt with a simple, inspirational necklace – love it and I too wear tons of inspirational necklaces (as mentioned here).

The Square One ring from Twisted Silver is my absolute favorite. Made from recycled objects, it’s perfectly “imperfect” with a fabulous vintage feel.

Love to see a guy with a crisp white tee, funky glasses and a stack of beaded bracelets – effortless style that won’t go out of style!!

Bangles…and I mean tons of bangles piled on high….are must for any season 🙂

Statement necklaces like this one from the Kardashian Kollection are easily transitioned from day to night.

A bright clutch will add a pop of stylish color to summer dresses or jeans.

One of my favorite trends this season: booties with shorts.  Wear them all year round for a casually cool look.
This belt can easily pass for vintage and it’s so chic.  Pair with a white button down or cinch it around your favorite dress.

A boyfriend watch is a no brainer and should be in every girl’s jewelry box.

Bold earring for all seasons!
