My First Car Story For Subaru Video

April 26, 2012 by

It’s finally here! Last month I had the amazing opportunity to fly to LA to participate in video shoot for Subaru’s fun new website, (seen here). It really was so much fun and the crew was absolutely amazing and nice (you’d be amazed at the amount of people it takes to film a few minutes of video).

My story, as well as the videos posted by other people, brought back so many fond memories (it’s amazing how many people share similar experiences with their first car!). Better yet, Subaru is having an amazing giveaway: an All-New 2012 Subaru Impreza. Enter by going to and clicking on the vehicle in the bottom right-hand corner. Good Luck!

Everyone loved their first car. No matter how beat up or broken down, it was a taste of freedom and you loved it. Even though it lasted only for a brief time, that emotional connection is an experience that unites us all. Check out my custom illustrated story, you can submit one too at and bring your story to life with animation and music and share it with your friends.

Like a lot of people, there are days when being a mom and having a full time job collide in the worst possible way.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thrown style out the window in the interest of comfort, simplicity and sanity.  Which is why I loved these wedges from Shoe Privee.

No matter kind of day you’re having or what outfit you’re wearing, these shoes will definitely kick it up a notch!

I paired my platform wedges c/o Shoe Privee with black cargo skinny jeans from Forever21 (no longer available), a tank from American Eagle (no longer available), a jacket from Kohl’s Apt. 9 line, Balenciaga inspired bag from Belloiris, sunglasses from Ross, and ring from Twisted Silver (one of my favorites).
